Sleep Sounds by Starlux (“the App”) is designed to be a private, offline-first relaxation tool. We believe your sleep data belongs only to you.

1. Data Collection & Privacy

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The App operates entirely offline on your device. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information (such as your name, email address, or location). No usage data is sent to our servers.

2. App Permissions

To function correctly as a sleep aid, the App requires specific permissions on your Android device. These are used strictly for local functionality:

• Foreground Service (Media Playback): Allows the audio engine to run reliably while your screen is off or when using other apps.
• Wake Lock: Prevents the audio from stuttering by keeping the CPU active during playback, even when the device enters deep sleep mode.
• Notifications: Displays playback controls (Play/Pause) on your lock screen so you can control the audio without unlocking your phone.

3. Third-Party Services

The App is built using standard Android frameworks. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (like Google Analytics, Firebase, or Facebook Pixel) to track your behavior.

4. Children’s Privacy

The App is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not collect data from any user, we inherently comply with children’s privacy regulations.

5. Changes to This Policy

The App is designed to remain offline and private. If we ever update the App to include features that require data handling, we will update this policy and notify users via an app update.
